Greetings Vizsla Owners,

If the weather cooperates with us in a couple of weeks, we'll be out at Crissy Field with the hounds working off the turkey and fixins from the weekend before.

We'll update the status of this run as soon as we can get a more (un)predictable weather forecast for that Saturday.

    Our dogs Os and Igby
    We've had all the males in our pack, including our dog, Os, remain intact until it became an issue where the dog was either becoming too much of a target by other dogs at the park, and/or the dog's behavior starts to turn towards becoming uncontrollable. This puts it at about a year to a year and a half at most. We've played it by ear with each dog rather than set a definitive date.

    I am trying to gather thoughts neutering my male vizsla - when? My vet says 6 months, the breeder says one year! Any thoughts on the "right" age?

    • “ Boy that wind at Crissy Field takes the heat out of you fast. What can you expect when it's winter. Despite the kite surfers, Os, Bella, Oski, George, Alba, and Rudy all had a blast. Os was exhausted for the rest of the weekend. Next time I'll post my cell phone number in case anyone is having trouble finding the group. ”
